Until we’re staring down our own death sentence and we find ourselves thrown at Jesus’ feet, it is far too easy to minimize mercy. But in that moment, our souls awaken, parched and longing for drops of grace to fall on us. Suddenly our perspective shifts. Nothing else matters. We cling to the feet of the only One who is eligible to cast the first stone and yet chooses to offer us a gulp of life-giving grace. When that moment comes, drink deeply.
